Line Cook

Located in Beaverton, OR

We are seeking a skilled and dependable Cook to prepare nutritious, high-quality meals in a patient-focused environment. The ideal candidate will take pride in preparing well-balanced meals according to established menus and dietary requirements while maintaining a clean, safe, and organized kitchen.

A successful candidate will be comfortable working in a fast-paced kitchen, able to follow recipes and instructions, and capable of managing multiple tasks while maintaining high standards for food quality and sanitation.

Cook Responsibilities

• Set up workstations with all necessary ingredients, cookware, and cooking equipment.

• Prepare ingredients for cooking, including chopping and peeling vegetables and cutting meat.

• Prepare and cook meals using a variety of methods, including grilling, baking, boiling, and other techniques.

• Follow menus, recipes, and instructions to prepare meals that meet patients’ nutritional and dietary requirements.

• Monitor food while cooking and stir, turn, or adjust temperatures as needed.

• Check the quality and freshness of ingredients before use.

• Maintain a clean, sanitized, and organized kitchen and work area.

• Ensure food, ingredients, and kitchen supplies are stored properly.

• Monitor inventory levels and communicate shortages or place orders as needed.

• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health regulations.

• Work collaboratively with kitchen staff and other team members.

• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Cook Requirements

• Previous experience working as a Cook or in a similar kitchen position.

• Experience using knives, cutting tools, cookware, bakeware, and other kitchen equipment.

• Knowledge of a variety of cooking methods and techniques.

• Ability to follow recipes, menus, and detailed instructions.

• Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation procedures.

• Ability to work efficiently in a team-oriented environment.

• Good communication and organizational skills.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to food quality.
