Job Summary:
The Metal Sorter is responsible for identifying, sorting, and processing ferrous and non-ferrous metals, ensuring quality control, and operating equipment like forklifts and conveyor belts. This role involves physically demanding tasks in a fast-paced, industrial environment while adhering to safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

• Sort Metals: Manually and mechanically separate ferrous and non-ferrous metals.
• Operate Equipment: Safely use forklifts and machinery to move and process materials.
• Quality Control: Inspect materials for contaminants and ensure they meet company standards.
• Loading/Unloading: Assist in loading/unloading trucks and maintain accurate records.
• Maintain Safety & Cleanliness: Follow safety guidelines and keep work areas clean and organized.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in metal sorting or forklift operation is a plus.
• Must pass a drug screening and complete safety training (Mon-Fri, 8 AM-4 PM).
• Must be able to work in all weather conditions and wear steel-toe boots.
• Strong attention to detail and physical ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs).
