Machine Operator- Glass Cutter
Location: Lenexa, KS Area
Pay: $17.00/Hr, PAID WEEKLY!
Schedule: 7AM-3:30PM Mon- Fri
 
A local Shawnee company is looking to add an experienced Glass Cutter- Machine Operator to their team! This is an evaluation hire (potential direct placement for the right candidate), permanent position with room for advancement and growth opportunities.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Take printed stock and cut to the proper dimensions as called for on the production order
  • Operate large cutting machines to make detailed custom cuts for various types of printed stock
  • Read work order and verify all fabrication, that needs to be accomplished before cutting, is completed
  • Cut in accordance to priorities set by Supervisor
  • Report any issues or problems relating to signage to be cut to management
  • Maintain all safety and cleanliness standards
  • Utilize forklift as needed
Qualification:
  • Must have machine operating experience
  • Ability to pass a basic skills test
  • Ability to communicate (Read, speak, write, understand) in English
  • Ability to work alone and under minimal supervision
  • Ability to build effective relationships
  • Valid driver’s license or ability to obtain for purposes of forklift certification
  • Experience with Cutting and Router machines
  • Able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs
  • Standing for lengthy periods of time
