A local credit union is looking for full-time tellers to deliver high-quality service, develop and maintain relationships with members, and promote their banking options.

Responsibilities:

• Greet and welcome members in a courteous, professional, and timely manner
• Process deposits, withdrawals, and check cashing accurately per credit union policies
• Verify amounts, examine checks for proper endorsement, and enter transactions into compute records
• Issue traveler's checks, money orders, and CDs; process loan and mortgage payments
• Balance cash drawer at end of shift; research and resolve any discrepancies
• Open new accounts, set up new account files, and provide members with membership information
• Complete quick loan applications and assist members in balancing accounts
• Place holds on accounts for uncollected funds; count, check, and package coins and currency
• Handle mail and email transactions; ensure teller station is properly stocked
• Cross-sell credit union products and services during member interactions; log referrals in tracking software
• Provide in-person and phone service information on credit union products, policies, and procedures
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of all teller area policies, procedures, regulations, and robbery procedures

Pay and Schedule:

• Mon-Fri 8:00am-6:00pm, Sat 9:00am-12:00pm
  • Will be scheduled 38-40hrs/week with 1 day off during the week
• $16.00/hr

Requirements:

• Sales experience
• Previous experience in cash handling, financial banking, and customer service is a plus
• Ability to lift at least 15 pounds occasionally due to coin bags and stand for extended periods.
• Background Check
• High School Diploma/GED
