Welder

Pay: $18+/hr

Location: Fairfield, AL

We're seeking a welder/fitter with solid experience working with metals (primarily steel and aluminum) and an eye for detail. The welder/fitter will be responsible for reading/interpreting 2D drawings and constructing, repairing, and installing various products made from metals. 

Primary duties include:

• Repairing and/or fabricating heavy equipment structures.
•  The position involves heavy physical labor.
• Experience in the mining or heavy equipment industry is a plus
• Experience in correcting metal distortion is required
• Must be able to read blueprint drawings and weld symbols
• Must be able to weld in all positions (flat, vertical, overhead)
•  Must have strong skills using measuring devices
• Must be able to perform basic mathematical calculations when necessary
• Must have a positive attitude and possess a collaborative spirit to help others
•  Must have strong communication skills and ability to use computers as necessary
• Consistent attendance is required
