As a Shipping Lead, you will be entrusted with the critical responsibility of overseeing daily shipping and distribution operations. Your primary goal is to ensure the seamless and efficient operation of the shipping processes, ensuring that all orders are shipped and delivered promptly. By employing your expertise and coordinating with various teams, you will play a vital role in maintaining timely delivery of orders and enhancing customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

Order Management: Utilize software to track, check, prioritize, and route orders effectively. Manage all important documents, including advanced shipping notices, pick slips, bills of lading, etc.

Process Oversight: Direct the flow of packages from preparation to shipment, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Inspect labels, barcodes, and other features of completed orders to maintain quality standards.

Team Leadership: Supervise and lead subordinates, including receiving clerks, order pickers, etc., providing guidance and support for their professional development.

Budget Control: Control the budget of the shipping department, ensuring optimal utilization of resources and cost-effectiveness.

Process Optimization: Collaborate with warehouse, purchasing, and other managers to optimize shipping processes, streamlining operations for maximum efficiency.

Issue Resolution: Address and resolve issues regarding shipped orders promptly, ensuring customer satisfaction and retention.

Compliance and Reporting: Ensure compliance with legal regulations and company policies related to shipping operations. Regularly report to management on shipping activities, highlighting achievements and addressing challenges.
