We are looking for experienced Custodians to join our team of skilled associates to work for the local school system. The Custodian I position will perform routine, manual work cleaning and maintaining school buildings. Must be able to pass a background check and have reliable transportation to be able to travel to a variety of school sites. Must be able to facilitate the evacuation of students during emergency situations and/or drills.

Pay: $13 hourly, long term opportunity. Interview required, after interview must wait for BG check to clear before starting (Can take up to 2-3 weeks)

Additional benefits offered once hired onto the client's company, and a performance based opportunity for a pay increase up to $15.

Schedule: Mon-Fri 6am to 4:30pm

Responsibilities:

• Scrub, dusts, sweeps, mops, vacuums, waxes and polishes floors in rooms, hallways, and closets.
• Dusts and arranges furniture.
• Washes windows, woodwork, walls, and other surfaces.
• Scrubs and cleans rest room fixtures.
• Replenishes tissue, towels, and soap in restrooms, kitchens, and classroom facilities.
• Locks and unlocks doors.
• Sorts and stores material for recycling program.
• Reports to supervisor any damages or needed repairs.
• Picks up paper and other rash in school building or on school grounds.
• Turns heating and air conditioning equipment on and off.
• Adheres to mandated uniform procedures.

Requirements:

• Knowledge of cleaning methods, materials and equipment
• Some skill in the use of small equipment used in routine cleaning
• Ability to understand and follow simple oral or written directions
• Ability to work cooperatively with other staff members
• Able to push, pull, bend, crouch, stoop, and lift moderate to heavy weight routinely
• MUST BE ABLE TO ATTAIN/PROVIDE COPY of HIGH SCHOOL TRANSCRIPTS
