E-Commerce Customer Service Representative

The E-Commerce Customer Service Representative is responsible for the general customer service of the companies website, including Amazon, Ebay and Walmart.  The E-Commerce Customer Service Representative will demonstrates a high degree of professionalism in communication, attitude and teamwork with both peers and management and will possess a minimum of two years customer service experience.  This full-time, Monday-Friday position reports to the E-Commerce Manager. 

Primary duties:

• Directly interacting with customers across all communication channels (phone, email, live chat)
• Assist customers with order placement

• Respond to customer questions regarding product specifications, shipping times, international shipping costs, and various other inquiries
• Responsible for processing returns, exchanges and cancellations
• Utilize and develop product knowledge within the welding industry in order to provide outstanding customer service

Secondary duties:

• Identify and list products for sale online, utilizing Excel spreadsheets
• Assist in pricing updates
• Devise creative selling strategies to encourage increased product sales and customer traffic
• Assist as needed in shipping customer orders

Preferred Qualifications:

• Possess sales or customer service work experience
• Excellent written and oral communication skills with a variety of audiences
• Understanding of order and customer management for E-Commerce
• Data management skills including importing and exporting data
• Experience with MS Office products (Excel, Word, etc.)
• Experience with marketplaces and/or social media
• Ability to self-motivate and be organized with a systematic approach
• Ability to manage multiple tasks/projects at once
• Critical thinking and decision-making skills, able to make effective decisions among primarily known / understood conditions with occasional variables
