Human Resources Generalist

The Human Resources Generalist serves as a strategic partner to leadership and employees, delivering expert guidance, support, and solutions across a broad range of HR functions. This role plays a key part in fostering a positive workplace culture, ensuring compliance, and driving effective people practices. The Generalist proactively identifies and resolves employee relations matters while providing thoughtful mediation and support on staffing and management challenges.

Key Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):

  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve human resources policies, programs, and procedures to support organizational goals
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to managers and employees on HR-related questions, concerns, and best practices
  • Manage and resolve employee relations issues, conducting thorough and objective investigations when needed
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulatory reporting requirements
  • Administer and support compensation, benefits, performance management, employee engagement, and training programs
  • Partner with leadership on workforce planning, talent development, and organizational effectiveness
  • Recruit and hire blue collar workers/tradesmen 
  • Maintain accurate HR records and generate reports to support data-driven decision-making
  • Assist in the development and delivery of training programs, including onboarding and leadership development
  • Promote and support workplace safety programs and compliance initiatives

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of progressive Human Resources Generalist experience
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred
  • Professional HR certification (PHR or equivalent) preferred
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and conflict resolution skills
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities
