Express Employment Professionals is seeking a Material Handler for one of our leading provider of structural steel fabrication services in Victoria, TX.

Job Description:

As a Material Handler you will play a crucial role in the daily operations by efficiently handling materials, ensuring proper inventory management, and supporting the production team. Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

Key Responsibilities:

• Material Handling: Safely load, unload, and move materials within the facility using appropriate equipment (e.g., forklifts, overhead crane).
• Inventory Control: Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records and perform regular cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy.
• Quality Assurance: Inspect materials for quality and report any defects or issues to the appropriate personnel.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with the production team to ensure materials are delivered to the right locations in a timely manner.
• Safety Compliance: Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe work environment.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in material handling, warehouse, or manufacturing environment preferred.
• Forklift certification is a plus.
• Ability to lift heavy materials and operate material handling equipment safely.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Basic computer skills for inventory tracking.
