Job Summary
The Marina Night Dock Attendant is responsible for maintaining the safety, security, and cleanliness of the marina during overnight hours. This position monitors marina facilities, assists boaters when needed, and ensures docks, vessels, and marina property remain secure throughout the night.
Key Responsibilities
· Closing end of day register and fuel in the fuel dock.
- Conduct regular patrols of docks, marina grounds, and parking areas throughout the night.
- Monitor marina activity and call 911 for suspicious or unsafe conditions.
- Assist boaters with late arrivals, dock lines, shore power connections, and basic docking guidance.
- Ensure dock gates, restrooms, and marina facilities remain secure after hours.
- Respond to minor emergencies, including water leaks, tripped breakers, or dock hazards.
- Maintain cleanliness of docks and common areas during the shift.
- Removing trash from all facility garbage cans.
- Restocking items in gift shop and fuel dock.
- Record nightly activity, incidents, and maintenance issues in the marina log.
- Monitor weather conditions and check vessel lines during severe weather when necessary.
- Enforce marina rules and policies (no fishing ordinance) in a professional and courteous manner.
- Communicate with marina management team regarding any incidents or concerns.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Basic knowledge of boating and dock operations is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and remain alert during overnight hours.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to walk long distances on docks and lift up to 40 lbs.
- Must be reliable and punctual.
- Must be able to swim
Working Conditions

2 Nights 6:30pm to 7:30am

Tuesday night into Wednesday 1:30am-10:00am
Wednesday night into Thursday 1:30am-10:00am
Thursday night into Friday off
Friday night into Saturday off
Saturday night into Sunday 6:30pm-7:30am
