Security System Installer

Job Overview

We are hiring a Security System Installer to install, service, and maintain security systems for residential and commercial customers. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up security equipment, running and connecting wiring, and ensuring systems function properly. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, and comfortable working with tools and technology.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Install and configure security systems, including alarms, cameras, access control, and monitoring equipment

• Run, route, and secure low-voltage wiring through walls, ceilings, and conduits

• Mount and position security devices such as sensors, cameras, and control panels

• Test systems to ensure proper operation and troubleshoot issues as needed

• Perform system upgrades, repairs, and routine maintenance

• Educate customers on system operation and basic troubleshooting

• Follow installation plans, safety standards, and company procedures

• Maintain accurate documentation of installations and service work

Qualifications and Skills

• Basic knowledge of electrical or low-voltage systems preferred

• Ability to use hand and power tools safely

• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills

• Ability to work independently or as part of a team

• Good communication and customer service skills

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift and carry equipment and tools

• Ability to climb ladders, work at heights, and access tight spaces

• Ability to stand, bend, and work with hands for extended periods
