We are seeking detail-oriented and dependable Shipping and Receiving Clerks to manage the flow of incoming and outgoing goods. This role is responsible for verifying shipments, preparing packages, maintaining inventory records, and ensuring the timely and accurate delivery of materials. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in keeping operations organized and efficient.

Key Responsibilities

Shipping

  • Prepare outgoing shipments, including packaging, labeling, and documentation
  • Schedule pickups and coordinate with carriers (UPS, FedEx, USPS, freight, etc.)
  • Verify shipping instructions and ensure compliance with company and carrier standards
  • Maintain accurate records of shipments and tracking information

Receiving

  • Unload incoming deliveries and inspect for damage or discrepancies
  • Verify contents against purchase orders and packing slips
  • Record received items in inventory systems and notify appropriate departments
  • Organize and store materials in designated areas

Inventory & Documentation

  • Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with cycle counts
  • Report inventory discrepancies or damaged goods to management
  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely
  • Keep shipping/receiving areas clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1+ year of experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with inventory or ERP systems
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities
  • Forklift certification (or willingness to obtain)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with shipping software and barcode scanners
  • Familiarity with OSHA safety standards and warehouse best practices
  • Bilingual is a plus and not required
  • Experience in manufacturing, retail, or logistics environments
