Machine Operator – $19.00/hr

Location: Clackamas, OR
Pay: $18.00/hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM–2:30 PM

Express Employment Professionals is currently hiring Machine Operators for a parts manufacturing company in Clackamas. This company manufactures metal components supporting major companies in the transportation and manufacturing industries, including Freightliner.

Job Description

The Machine Operator will operate various manufacturing equipment to produce quality metal parts while following work orders, specifications, and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

Operate machinery including lathes, cutters, shears, grinders, presses, drills, and auxiliary equipment
Monitor machine operation and inspect workpieces for defects or machine malfunctions
Make necessary machine adjustments to maintain product quality
Follow control plans, work instructions, and production specifications
Use measuring tools including micrometers and calipers
Read and interpret basic blueprints
Understand work orders and parts traceability requirements
Demonstrate a basic understanding of die functions
Follow verbal and written instructions accurately
Maintain quality standards and follow established manufacturing procedures

Experience & Qualifications

Previous machine operation or manufacturing experience preferred
Familiarity with cutting tools, micrometers, and calipers
Basic blueprint-reading skills
Understanding of SPC and ISO 9000 procedures preferred
Strong attention to detail and quality
Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity

Physical Requirements

Ability to lift up to 35 lbs.
Ability to stand for 8–10 hours per shift
Ability to safely handle small parts and manufacturing equipment

Work Schedule

Monday: 6:00 AM–2:30 PM
Tuesday: 6:00 AM–2:30 PM
Wednesday: 6:00 AM–2:30 PM
Thursday: 6:00 AM–2:30 PM
Friday: 6:00 AM–2:30 PM
