We are seeking an experienced and dependable Box Truck Driver to assist with pickups, deliveries, and warehouse operations while providing excellent customer service.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys physical work, interacting with people, and being part of a team.

Position Summary

Provide a positive customer experience by safely picking up, transporting, and unloading furniture, appliances, and other household items. When not driving, assist with sorting, preparing, and organizing merchandise for the sales floor.

Core Responsibilities

• Deliver timely, courteous, and professional service to all customers

• Confirm all pick-ups and deliveries prior to departure, including:

  • Estimated arrival time

  • Items scheduled for pickup or delivery

  • Reminder that items must be on the main floor

• Evaluate items for pickup and politely decline unacceptable items

• Safely load and secure items using straps and padding

• Operate box truck safely, being mindful of clearance and obstacles

• Unload and prepare items for the sales floor in a timely manner

• Assist with pricing merchandise as needed

• Provide receipts upon request

• Maintain cleanliness of the truck (sweep/clean at end of shift)

 

Qualifications

• Valid North Carolina driver’s license with no moving violations in the past year

• Ability to safely operate and maneuver a box truck

• Strong communication and customer service skills

• Ability to work well with individuals from diverse backgrounds

• Problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure

• Physically able to:

  • Lift up to 50 lbs unassisted, 75 lbs with assistance

  • Bend, lift, carry, and climb ladders safely

• Strong safety awareness when operating vehicles and equipment

• High School Diploma or GED

• Professional appearance and positive attitude
