Shift: Graveyard Shift (Initial Day Shift Training)

Express Employment Professionals is seeking dependable and detail-oriented individuals to join a local manufacturing company as CNC Drill/Fab Operators. This is a primarily entry-level opportunity, with previous manufacturing experience preferred but not required. Candidates will receive several weeks of hands-on training on day shift before transitioning to their regular graveyard schedule.

Job Description

The CNC Drill/Fab Operator is responsible for operating CNC drilling and routing equipment, preparing materials for production, and ensuring products meet quality standards. Duties include reading production prints and drill charts, inspecting drill bits, entering basic information into computer systems, and maintaining a clean work area. This position is ideal for individuals who are mechanically inclined, eager to learn, and interested in developing skills in manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC drilling and routing machines according to production specifications

• Shear and prepare materials for manufacturing jobs

• Inspect drill bits for chips, damage, geometric errors, and proper diameter sizing

• Read and interpret blueprints, production prints, and drill charts

• Enter basic production information into computer systems

• Monitor machine operations to ensure accuracy and product quality

• Perform basic measurements and calculations

• Remove scrap materials, garbage, and copper waste at the end of each shift

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment

• Follow all company safety procedures and quality standards

Experience & Qualifications

• Entry-level candidates encouraged to apply; training provided

• Previous manufacturing experience preferred but not required

• Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn

• Basic computer skills and proficiency in arithmetic

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality

• Good close vision for inspecting small components and identifying defects

• Ability to stand for extended periods

• Ability to regularly lift 25–30 lbs.

• Dependable, punctual, and able to follow instructions

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Work Schedule

Initial Training Schedule – Day Shift (First Few Weeks)

• Monday: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM

• Tuesday: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM

• Wednesday: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM

• Thursday: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM

• Friday: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM

• Saturday: Off

• Sunday: Off

Regular Schedule – Graveyard Shift

• Sunday: 10:00 PM – 6:30 AM

• Monday: 10:00 PM – 6:30 AM

• Tuesday: 10:00 PM – 6:30 AM

• Wednesday: 10:00 PM – 6:30 AM

• Thursday: 10:00 PM – 6:30 AM

• Friday: Off

• Saturday: Off
