CNC Lathe Machinist

Pay: $23.00 - 25.00 / hour

Shift: Monday - Friday, 7:00 am - 3:30 pm

Job Duties:

• Prepare and operate CNC lathes to perform tasks such as drilling, grinding, milling etc.
• Reads and interprets blue prints and travelers to determine production needs.
• Ensure that blue prints and traveler instructions are consistent to one another.
• Uploads and utilizes programs in creating product. Performs minor program editing as needed.
• Sets up tooling, adjusting work and tool offsets as needed.
• Performs inspection of completed product, ensuring that final product correlates to prints and company specs and standards.
• In-depth understanding of G&M codes.
• In-depth understanding of the use measurement equipment such as calipers, micrometers, indicators, machinist scales and tape measures.
• Ability to operate various hand tools and equipment including the horizontal band saw, abrasive cut off saw, panel saw, skill saw, manual mill, lathe, and manual presses.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED certificate
• Completion of an apprenticeship or training program
• Working knowledge of geometric dimensions and tolerancing (GD&T) a plus
• Familiarity with measuring tools such as micrometers and calipers
• Experience working with various metal and plastic materials
• Technical ability and basic math skills. Should be able to build from prints.
