Salary: $25/-$30HR B.O.E

We are seeking a Manual Machinist (Vertical Boring Mill, Lathe, Drilling) for a few different fabrication companies in Corpus Christi, TX! This position is temp-to-hire, full-time. Day shift and night shift positions available. 

 

Responsibilities include:

• Sets up job(s) to be drilled.
• Keep log of time spent on jobs.
• Operate manual vertical boring mill, lathe, drill press, and milling machines.
• Create ring grooves and ream holes.
• Check hole dimensions as required.
• Sharpen drill bits, remove shavings as needed, and refill coolant tank as needed.
• Perform internal quality control of drilling procedures and associated record-keeping and documentation.
• Assist in the Tool Room as well as Shipping & Receiving as necessary.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma
• VMC (vertical machining center) or bridge mill experience is a major plus!
• Required Tools: Steel tape, center punch, hammer, 12” scale, 0-1 micrometer, 6” dividers, square and center head, 12” adjustable wrench, telescoping gauges, hex key wrenches, trammel points, toolbox.
• Optional Tools: Micrometer (0-1 & 1-2), Inside micrometers up to 6", 24"-36" scale
