The Rework Technician in the Semiconductor Industry is responsible for repairing, modifying, and reprocessing semiconductor components to meet strict quality and performance standards. This role supports manufacturing operations by identifying defects and performing precise rework procedures in a cleanroom or controlled environment. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, technically skilled, and comfortable working with delicate components and specialized equipment.

Job Duties

• Perform rework and repair on semiconductor wafers, devices, or components according to specifications
• Inspect products using microscopes and precision measurement tools to identify defects
• Follow detailed work instructions, process documentation, and quality standards
• Operate rework tools and equipment safely and accurately
• Document rework activities, defects, and outcomes in manufacturing systems
• Adhere to cleanroom protocols, ESD controls, and safety procedures
• Collaborate with engineers, technicians, and quality teams to resolve issues
• Identify trends in defects and report findings to support process improvements
• Maintain an organized and clean work area at all times
