We are looking for an Office Manager/Accountant to organize and coordinate accounting duties and office procedures. Your role is to create and maintain a pleasant work environment, ensuring high levels of organizational effectiveness, determination, communication and safety. Will be responsible for managing a team responsible for AP/AR, and will also be responsible for HR & IT functions, as well as general office management.

 

 

Responsibilities

Responsible to perform the eight-step full accounting cycle: Journal entries, ledger account, unadjusted Entries, adjusting Entries, adjusted trial Balance, financial statements, closing entries and post-closing trial balance

  • Schedule meetings and appointments
  • Responsible to perform the eight-step full accounting cycle: Journal entries, ledger account, unadjusted Entries, adjusting Entries, adjusted trial Balance, financial statements, closing entries and post-closing trial balance
  • Develop and deliver monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
  • Accountable for information and usage of quickbooks
  • Organize office operations and procedures
  • Coordinate with IT department on all office equipment
  • Deal with collections/late payments
  • Record transactions, post debits and credits, reconcile accounts of all balance sheets
  • Manage contract and price negotiations with office vendors, service providers and office lease
  • Assist in determining company budget for the year (equipment, operating expenses, and IT expenses)
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of data recorded
  • Responsible for HR functions - on-boarding,/off-boarding, managing employee files and assisting in the recruitment process
  • Address employees queries regarding office management issues
  • General operations support when needed: coordination of transport, purchasing, contracts
  • Responsible for growth of employee performance through coaching and training to improve employee potential
  • Develop and deliver monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for management within 5 days

Requirements

  • Proven experience in Accounting or as an Office Manager with a focus on Accounting - 5+ years preferred
  • Must have supervisory experience
  • Must be bilingual
  • Proficiency in MS Office (MS Excel and MS Outlook, in particular)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Driven attitude that thrives in a supervisory role
