Electrical Assembly - Soldering Tech

Located in Beaverton, OR

We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Soldering Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate takes pride in producing high-quality work, follows safety procedures, and is comfortable working with small electronic components and printed circuit boards.

IPC certification is preferred, and candidates must be comfortable working an overnight shift.

Soldering Technician Responsibilities

• Perform soldering, rework, and repair of electronic components and printed circuit boards (PCBs) according to released specifications.

• Use microscopes, soldering equipment, and hand tools to add or remove small components from PCBs.

• Solder wires and perform PCB repairs as needed.

• Rework damaged or defective products to meet quality standards.

• Package finished products for shipment or processing.

• Twist, bend, trim, strip, or file component wire leads as required.

• Ream holes in circuit boards to prepare them for wire leads when necessary.

• Follow all company procedures related to safety and electrostatic discharge (ESD) control.

• Operate a forklift as needed and in accordance with company safety procedures.

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.

• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

• Previous experience with soldering, electronics assembly, or PCB repair preferred.

• IPC certification is preferred.

• Ability to work with microscopes and small electronic components.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

• Ability to follow detailed work instructions and established procedures.

• Understanding of ESD and workplace safety practices.

• Dependable and able to work independently as well as part of a team.

• Must be comfortable working an overnight shift.

• Forklift experience is a plus.
