Our client, in Queen Anne''s County, MD is looking for Electromechanical Assemblers.

 

SUMMARY

Performs production processes in the Manufacturing Department in support of electrical /electronic systems and subsystems used in equipment.  Also supports Warehouse with responsibilities for clerical and physical tasks in connection with shipping goods and receiving incoming shipments.  

 Duties and Responsibilities:

• Performs manufacturing duties to include making of liners, shutters and cables, ignition bulbs, and various other part assemblies
• Basic machine wiring techniques to include:  cutting, terminating, soldering and crimping wire
• Assembles electronics according to product specifications
• Assembles and wires lamp housings
• Follows blueprints to put together electronic devices, tools and products using hand and power tools
• Observes, recognizes, and promotes safe manufacturing practices
• Prepare materials for shipping, both domestic and international shipments
• Properly and accurately completes all required paperwork to ensure timely shipment of product and compliance with import/export laws.
• Pack, seal, label, and affix postage to prepare materials for shipping, using work devices such as hand tools, power tools, and postage meter
• Assist in receiving incoming packages to warehouse
• Perform Arc Lamp inspection and other visual inspection for package damage
• Maintains clean work environment
• Follows published Work Instructions and Procedures
• Other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements:

• High School Diploma 
• Basic knowledge of the use of hand tools, power tools, and electronic test equipment
• Good manual dexterity in handling of small objects & tools
• Attention to detail
• Good eyesight (corrected or uncorrected) and color differentiation ability
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. from floor to bench height
• Proficient with knowledge of computer, Microsoft Office and other software
• Soldering experience is a plus
• Electrical wiring, mechanical assembly
• Excellent communication skills
