This role is responsible for providing leadership and direction for the assigned department, ensuring a safe, high quality working environment. Responsible for adhering to and leading by example with all quality and process standards. The Group Lead is a key contributor to customer satisfaction and continuous improvement.

Main Job Duties:

• Lead by example with all safety requirements and seek out/implement improvements
• Train associates to utilize all machinery, tools, equipment, etc. safely and effectively
• Engage with other employees in the department to maintain a safe working environment
• Ensure the department team maintains cleanliness and organization

• Lead and complete QRI1 activities (Quick Response Initiatives) independently
• Participate in and support QRI2 teams (complex problem-solving teams)
• Assist team as needed to maintain quality standards and efficiency targets

• Utilize daily schedule/meetings and goals to assign production orders to each team member
• Independently prioritize and organize workflow through assigned department
• Communicate effectively with team to facilitate production orders
• Confirm operations and issue material in ERP system

• Lead team through daily “start of work” meeting independently
• Identify and implement process improvements for Safety, Quality and/or Productivity

• Act as liaison for various levels of the organization
• Utilize email to document, escalate, and communicate with management as needed
• Escalate all equipment and production order issues to manager, ensuring prompt resolution
• Conduct daily Field Tour in manager’s absence as needed
• Responsible for technical training within the department

Requirements:

3-5 years experience in Warehouse as a Lead/ Supervisor

Quick Learner/ Safety Training conducted
