Shipping and Receiving Clerk

Salary: $17 - $19 hr

JOB SUMMARY:

Completes paperwork & packaging of pulled orders in preparation for shipment.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1. Obtains merchandise from Inventory Control to complete orders carefully verifying identifying information and quantities.
2. Loads & unloads trucks and various other material transportation vehicles.
3. Completes shipping documents.
4. Produces necessary documents for express carriers.
5. Must be able to perform some lifting (6. Legible handwriting skills.
7. Assists in warehouse maintenance.
8. Must have passed yearly forklift certification testing.
9. Notifies supervisor or manager of any potential safety hazards.
10. Performs specific tasks of shuttles, pallet technician, E-ship and receiving clerk duties.
11. Performs other duties and assignments as directed by management.

EDUCATION BACKGROUND AND WORK EXPERIENCE:

1. High school diploma or equivalent work experience.
2. Minimum of one (1) year's prior experience as a Shipping/Receiving Clerk Level 1+ or equivalent.
