Express Employment Professionals is seeking applicants for a Welder / Fabricator position for a Tyler, TX area company! We are a full-service staffing firm working with companies in East Texas offering full-time, part-time, and temporary opportunities. While we cannot guarantee placement, there is no fee for using our services!

In this role, you will:

• Perform MIG, flux-core (FCAW), and stick welding on carbon steel and stainless steel.

• Fabricate, fit, tack, and weld metal components according to project specifications.

• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and welding symbols.

• Prepare, measure, cut, and fit materials for welding and fabrication.

• Perform flat-position MIG welding and uphill flux-core welding.

• Use fabrication tools and equipment to complete projects accurately.

• Inspect completed welds to ensure quality and structural integrity.

• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.

We like to hear from candidates with the following:

• Previous experience in welding and metal fabrication.

• Proficiency in MIG and flux-core welding processes.

• Stick welding experience, including 7024 electrodes, is a plus.

• Ability to read blueprints and perform fabrication work beyond basic welding.

• Experience welding carbon steel and stainless steel.

• Strong measuring, fitting, and layout skills.

• Ability to complete a hands-on welding assessment, which may include:

  • Tack welding and MIG welding two lightweight 12-inch plates in the flat position.

  • Tack welding and uphill FCAW welding on similar plates.

  • Demonstrating 7024 stick welding skills, if applicable.

• Strong attention to detail, dependability, and commitment to safety.
