Salary: $75K-90K/yr.

Our client in Palmer is searching for a Manufacturing Engineer.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILTIES:

Participates in DMRB and reviews rejected product to ascertain whether components are salvageable and what procedural changes need to occur.

Develops, evaluates, and improves manufacturing methods.

Reviews production tooling for damage and/or wear and develops necessary corrective action plans for refurbishment including utilization of inside and outside resources.

Analyzes and plans work force utilization, space requirements, and workflow, and designs layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency.

Confers with planning and design staff concerning product design and tooling to ensure efficient production methods.

Confers with vendors to determine product specifications and arrange for purchase of equipment, materials, or parts, and evaluates products according to specifications and quality standards.

Estimates production times, staffing requirements, and related costs to provide information for management decisions.

 Reviews/approves customer documentation for design changes and ensures that the necessary documentation is generated/updated to reflect changes.  Communicates with customer when clarification on requested changes are needed.  Represents Operations Department at the ECO weekly meeting

Confers with management, engineering, and other staff regarding manufacturing capabilities, production schedules, and other considerations to facilitate production processes.

Applies statistical methods to estimate future manufacturing requirements and potential.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year College or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to talk or hear.  The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.  The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus.

$75k-90k/yr.
