Express Employment Professionals in Waterloo has partnered with a local pawn shop to hire a Pawn Broker to join their team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with customers, has knowledge of electronics, gaming systems, or musical instruments, and is comfortable using social media to promote products.

Position Overview:
The Pawn Broker will manage front counter operations, assist customers with purchases and pawn transactions, and help promote store inventory through social media. This is a customer-facing role that requires strong communication skills and attention to detail when evaluating items brought in by customers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide friendly and professional customer service to customers entering the store
• Assist customers with pawn transactions and retail purchases
• Test and evaluate electronics, gaming systems, instruments, and other items brought in for pawn
• Post inventory items and promotions on social media platforms
• Assist with live videos and online promotions of store products
• Maintain an organized and welcoming sales floor and counter area

Qualifications:

• Strong customer service or retail sales experience preferred
• Interest or knowledge in electronics, gaming systems, or musical instruments is helpful
• Comfortable using social media platforms for product promotion
• Reliable, personable, and comfortable working in a retail environment

Position Details:

• Starting pay of $14.00/hour, with commission opportunities after training
