Sewing Line/Scale Operator - 2nd Shift

Located in Jonesboro, AR

Salary: $15.75

Express Employment Professionals is currently assisting a Jonesboro rice facility with their search for a Sewing Line/Scale Operator on 2nd shift in the Parboil Shipping Department.

Job duties:

• Setup sewing lines 
• Properly fill out all paperwork throughout shift 
• Carry heavy bags
• Check and maintain ink jet throughout the shift 
• Check and maintain sewing machines 
• Print labels and maintain label machines 
• Check and change sewing needles 
• Clean work area on daily/hourly basis 
• Properly store bags and clean debris and properly dispose of culls produced at the end of production
• Be able to preform HARPC checks as needed 
• Communicate with other areas/departments as needed 
• Other job duties may be assigned by supervisor 

Skills & Requirements

• Ability to follow instructions and pay attention to detail
• Lifting 25-50 pounds
• Ability to work in a dusty environment
• Able to understand the operations and controls of the scales
• Able to sew poly and and paper bags ranging from 25# to 110#
• Organizational skills 
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team 
• Able to lift, stand, walk, bend, stoop, for long periods of time

Work Schedule: 2:45pm to 11:30pm Monday - Friday w/ OT as needed
