Position: Heavy Equipment Mechanic

Pay: $28/hr
Schedule Options:

• Swing Shift: Monday–Thursday
• Day Shift: Thursday–Sunday
  Location: Flathead Valley

What You’ll Do

• Fuel and service vehicles and heavy equipment
• Perform oil changes, filter changes, greasing, and corrosion checks
• Pressure wash and clean all equipment
• Change tires and install/remove tire chains
• Make repairs using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment
• Inspect vehicles for worn or damaged components and create repair lists
• Maintain filter inventory and organize parts after delivery
• Keep wash rack and work areas clean and safe
• Operate equipment to test repairs and ensure proper function
• Assist with painting vehicles when needed
• Perform additional duties as assigned

What You Bring

• Basic mechanical tool set (required)
• Strong mechanical aptitude and hands‑on repair experience
• Ability to work independently and follow repair procedures
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship

Experience

• Previous mechanical or equipment maintenance experience preferred
• Welding experience helpful
• Heavy equipment or fleet maintenance experience a plus

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift 50+ lbs
