Industrial Electrician Job Responsibilities
- Perform electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and installation on industrial machinery and facility electrical systems
- Maintain and repair control panels, electrical equipment, machinery, and production systems
- Read and interpret electrical codes, blueprints, wiring diagrams, manuals, and schematic diagrams
- Troubleshoot electrical systems and identify equipment issues
- Use hand tools, power tools, and electrical testing equipment
- Install and work with conduit, wiring, and electrical components
- Draft sketches for wiring layouts and equipment locations
- Prepare requisitions for electrical tools, parts, materials, and supplies
- Perform minor equipment maintenance and electrical repairs
- Follow all electrical safety procedures, workplace policies, and company regulations
- Complete additional electrical maintenance and repair duties as assigned
Industrial Electrician Qualifications
- Previous industrial electrical, maintenance electrician, or electrical technician experience required
- Experience using conduit benders, cutters, threaders, soldering tools, and electrical testing instruments
- Strong understanding of electrical troubleshooting and safety procedures
- Ability to read electrical schematics, blueprints, and wiring diagrams
- Excellent manual dexterity and attention to detail
- Ability to perform minor mechanical and equipment maintenance
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- High school diploma or GED required
- Dependable, punctual, and able to follow written and verbal instructions
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 60 pounds frequently
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and work around industrial machinery
- Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
- Ability to safely use electrical tools and testing equipment
Schedule Options
Choose from one of two Monday–Friday shifts:
- 1st Shift: 5:00 AM–1:30 PM
- 2nd Shift: 1:00 PM–9:00 PM
