Direct Hire Road Service Technician

Up to $45/hour

 

Road Service Technician:

We are looking for someone who has strong electrical and mechanical skills to work on cranes, aerial bucket trucks, sweepers, sewer jetter and vac trucks, and a wide variety of equipment serving the utility, construction, municipal and refuse industries. This person will be driving to customer sites and performing repairs on site.

Major Functions:

Perform service calls, repair, service, and do preventative maintenance on customer equipment to customer’s satisfaction. Ensure that customers receive the best customer service possible.

Essential Duties:

• Communicate with field service supervisor regarding repairs and scheduling.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose electric and hydraulic components of equipment.
• Communicate with the customer in regards to service calls.
• Perform service calls.
• Maintain inventory stock levels in service truck.
• Assist with preventative maintenance programs in branch areas.
• Coordinate with customer service the shipment out of repaired equipment on a timely basis.
• Maintain a clean work area and service truck.
• Repair equipment in shop when not on service call.
• Extensive travel is required.

Qualifications:

• High School education or equivalent
• Must demonstrate mechanical and electrical skills
• Experience in small equipment repair or equivalent; looking for a person with electrical/mechanical ability
• Must have a good DMV record and valid driver’s license
• One year experience using word, computer, internet, outlook
• Must be able to lift up to 60 lbs
• Ability to stand frequently throughout the day
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Self-motivated and ability to work independently
