Express Employment of Downey is currently seeking a CARPENTER ASSISTANT for our client in the city of Paramount, CA.

PAY: $20.00 an hour

SHIFT: 1st shift, 6AM - 2:30PM, Monday through Friday

EMPLOYMENT TYPE: temp to permanent hire

Responsibilities:

• Work in the warehouse and work with several on-site machines (TRAINING WILL BE PROVIDED)
• Work through wood cut lists with accuracy of final pieces
• Assemble finished cut products into crate and crate boxes
• Study blueprints, drawings, manuals, specifications or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of final work pieces

Qualifications:

• Strong communication skills
• Ability to use basic carpentry tools such as tape measurer, nail puller, claw hammer, framing square etc. 
• Must be able to safely operate hand & power tools (circular saw, drill etc.) 
• Deadline and detail oriented
