Machinist II - CNC Machine Operator

Salary: $21.000 - $27.00 (DOE)

This company provides a professional and fun environment working with a diversified set of customers, products, equipment, and manufacturing processes. An AISC Certified Fabricator, they work with General Construction, Marine Construction, Renewable Energy, Space and Defense, and other industries with a need for metal fabrication and specialized custom equipment. We are seeking an entry to intermediate level CNC Machine Operator that has experience as a machinist in both CNC machine operation as well as manual machine tools. The position requires knowledge of machining techniques and methods and familiarity with computer numerically controlled machine tool operating procedures, plus the ability to follow written instructions and read drawings. Job Duties:

•Knowledge of CNC, Lathe, Mill Turn and Manual machine operations
•Effective communication, relationship, time-management, and critical thinking skills
•Ability to drive continuous improvement processes and standards
•Ability to work well independently and cross-functionally as part of an established and growing team
•Requires working knowledge of geometry, trigonometry, and basic algebra
•Ability to read detailed drawings or files, including drawings, sketches, and those for computer-aided design (CAD)and computer-aided manufacturing (CAM) ALSO Compute and verify dimensions, sizes, shapes, and tolerances of workpieces of completed products meeting requirements
•Set up, operate, and disassemble manual, automatic, and computer numerically controlled (CNC) machine tools
•Measure dimensions of completed products or workpieces to verify conformance.

Location: Mount Vernon

Pay: $21.00 - $27.00 (DOE)

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8 hour shifts, may require some overtime work
