Location: Lenexa, KS | Pay Rate: $17.00 | Schedule: Mon- Fri 7am-3:30pm

Express Employment Professionals is now hiring a Cutter Machine Operator for a local manufacturing company. This full-time position is perfect for someone with experience in construction, signage, or machine operation—especially if you're great with measurements and hands-on work.

Job Summary:

As a Cutter, you'll be responsible for making sure each job is cut correctly by reviewing the job jacket, verifying all prep work is done, and making precise cuts using large cutting machines. You'll help ensure high-quality signage is passed on to the next stage in production.

Job Duties:

• Cut printed stock to correct dimensions as listed on the production order

• Operate large cutting machines to make custom, detailed cuts

• Make sure all fabrication steps are complete before cutting begins

• Cut according to Supervisor’s priorities

• Report any cutting or signage issues to management

• Follow all safety rules and keep work areas clean

• Operate forklift as needed (we can help you get certified)

What We’re Looking For:

• High School diploma or GED

• Experience with cutting or router machines preferred

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy

• Able to manage a fast-paced workload with frequent interruptions

• Comfortable with basic math, fractions, and measurements

• Can pass a basic skills test

• Able to read, speak, write, and understand English

• Valid driver’s license or ability to get one (required for forklift certification)

• Able to lift 50 lbs and stand for long periods

• Willing to work overtime and weekends if needed

• Safety-focused and able to work independently

• Good at building relationships and solving problems on the spot

• Reaching and working with hands for cutting tasks

• Reading job orders and working on a computer

• Clear hearing and speaking for team communication

• Good depth perception and spatial awareness
