CNC Operator

A manufacturing company in Saline is seeking CNC operators on 2^nd shift.

What you’ll be doing as the CNC Operator

• Set stops or guides to specified length as indicated by scale, rule, or template
• Observe machine operation to detect work-piece defects or machine malfunction and measures work-piece dimensions to determine accuracy of machine operation
• Remove burrs, sharp edges, rust, or scale from work-piece
• Perform minor machine maintenance such as oiling machines, dies, or work-pieces
• Record gauge readings and plots on appropriate SPC chart

What we look for in a CNC Operator

• Configure equipment by setting stops, guides, and templates to precise specifications using scales and rules.

• Monitor machine cycles to detect malfunctions and utilize precision measuring tools to verify workpiece dimensions against tolerances.

• Maintain operational accuracy by recording gauge readings and plotting data on SPC charts to identify production trends.

• Perform post-machining processes, including debris removal (washing) and the manual removal of burrs, sharp edges, and scale.

• Ensure equipment longevity by performing minor preventive maintenance, including the lubrication of machines, dies, and workpieces.

• HS diploma or GED

Additional information for the CNC Operator

• $18.75 hourly
• Monday-Thursday, 2:30pm – 1:00am
  • Mandatory overtime when scheduled
• Saline, 48176
