Express Employment Professionals Conway AR  is hiring now for Beginner Welders. Pay will be $15/HR.

Job Purpose:

Performs MIG welding.  Will be working in various departments welding metal components together to fabricate or repair products, parts, etc. according to layouts, blueprints, or work orders.

Essential Functions:

• Welds metal parts together using appropriate processes and performing related tasks such as cutting and grinding.
• Verifies conformance of work piece to specifications using measuring instruments.
• Safe operation and usage of various power tools. 
• Adherence to company policies, processes, and procedures. 
• Perform quality checks using measurement tools.
• Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures.
• Works under minimal supervision on duties and tasks that are frequently non-routine, adapting procedures, techniques, tools, materials and/or equipment to meet special needs.
• Understands and complies with all safety policies and procedures.
• Utilizes PPE while performing welding operations to include an apron or front covering for torso protection.
• While in the workplace, responsible for safety, quality, and housekeeping.

Required Qualifications:

• A basic understanding of various measuring tools and layout techniques.   
• Basic mathematical ability.
• Must be flexible with required working hours, including overtime.
• Must be flexible within the department and willing to flex to other departments as needed.
• Ability to work independently or with a team.
• At least 6 months on the job or real world welding experience.
