Production Operator

Located in Ames, IA

Salary: $19

Express Employment has partnered with a local Ames, Iowa company seeking additional Production Operators! This position starts at $19/hr dependent on experience. The ideal candidate for this role should have strong attention to detail and should be motivated to work in a team environment!

Environment: 

• This is a 1st shift schedule, 5:00am-1:30pm OR 6:00am-2:30pm
• This is a manufacturing company that works with landscaping colorant and asphalt additives
• Must be comfortable working with bulk powders and mixing machines

Duties:

• Operate various mixing, filling and packaging equipment including liquid filling machines
• Follow mix ticket instructions to accurately weigh and add raw materials to batches
• Follow instructions on fill tickets when packaging product
• Observe machine operations to ensure quality and conformity of products

Skills/Experience Needed:

• Experience with a forklift is required
• Attention to detail experience is required
• Knowledge of and ability to follow established safety procedures and practices
• Prior experience in production/manufacturing
