Our client company in Talbot County, MD is seeking experienced Maintenance Mechanics for their manufacturing facility.

 

The successful candidate for the position of Maintenance Mechanic shall be fully capable of performing all job functions listed.

 

Job Tasks

• Identify and repair mechanical problems quickly and effectively.
• Ability to layout and assemble miscellaneous projects.
• Receive, stock, and inventory some incoming maintenance items.
• Schedule and perform machine maintenance as needed.
• Work a 40 hour scheduled workweek.
• Note: Must be able to work any shift or overtime to maintain work schedules as required.
• Perform carpentry, electrical and plumbing work
• Be able to paint neatly
• Maintain work area with attention to organization, cleanliness and regulatory compliance.
• Run errands with company vehicle.
• Record all maintenance information as specified by all procedures.
• Setup production equipment/change over per production order.
• General knowledge and operation of fabrication equipment such as: drill press, shear, band saw, hand power tools, etc.
• Equipment setup and relocation.
• Forklift operation.
• Ability to operate and maintain production equipment

 

Job Skills

• Good mechanical aptitude.

• General understanding of welding, plumbing, carpentry and painting.
• Ability to complete, distributes, and file correct forms for the purchasing, stocking, and inventorying of parts.
• Skilled in utilizing miscellaneous measuring instruments.
• Must have and maintain an acceptable driving record.
• Read, write, and understand English.
• Computer literate.
