A well-established local apartment community in Battle Creek, MI is seeking a skilled and reliable Apartment Maintenance Technician to join our team.

Position Overview:
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing general maintenance and light cleaning duties to ensure our apartment community remains safe, functional, and well-maintained for residents.

Key Responsibilities:

• Complete maintenance service requests in a timely and professional manner

• Repair and replace electrical outlets

• Install garbage disposals

• Replace toilets and perform basic plumbing repairs

• Complete unit turns between residents

• Perform drywall patching and minor repairs/replacements

• Assist with general upkeep and other duties as assigned

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand for extended periods

• Frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, and reaching

• Pushing and pulling as needed

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

Position Type: Evaluation Hire, Full Time

Pay: $18 - $20 per hour depending on skills and experience

Schedule: 1st shift:  8:30am-5pm M-F, will need to be available to be on-call for afterhours maintenance emergencies

Qualifications: Candidates need to have at least 1 year of apartment/residential maintenance experience.  Clean background is required for insurance purposes.
