Position Overview: 

Electronics Test Technician will support engineering and manufacturing teams by performing hands on testing, diagnostics, and validation of electronic components, subassemblies, and finished products. The role blends technical skill, precision, and problems solving to keep production and development running smoothly.

Qualified Applicants Must Have: 

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in the Electronics Industry as a Test Technician.
  • Must be able to troubleshoot down to the component level of a circuit board
  • Knowledge of Analog and Digital circuitry
  • Strong Soldering skills

Key Responsibilities:

  • Functional Testing Execute test procedures on PCBs, modules, and full systems using oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies, signal generators, and automated test equipment.
  • Troubleshooting Diagnose failures to the component level, identify root causes, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Documentation Record test results, maintain logs, update test reports, and communicate findings to engineering.
  • Calibration Verify and maintain calibration of test equipment to ensure measurement accuracy.
  • Quality Assurance Inspect assemblies for workmanship, verify compliance with IPC standards, and support corrective action processes.
  • Prototype Support Assist engineers with prototype builds, modifications, and validation testing.
  • Safety Compliance Follow ESD, electrical safety, and lab protocols to protect equipment and personnel.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Electronics Fundamentals Strong understanding of circuits, components, schematics, and test methods.
  • Test Equipment Proficiency Skilled with oscilloscopes, DMMs, logic analyzers, and power supplies.
  • Soldering Skills Ability to rework through hole and surface mount components (IPC certification is a plus).
  • Reading Schematics Comfortable interpreting wiring diagrams, BOMs, and engineering drawings.
  • Analytical Thinking Capable of isolating faults and identifying trends in test data.
  • Communication Clear reporting of issues, results, and recommendations.

Education:

  • Associate degree in Electronics Technology, Electrical Engineering Technology, or equivalent military/technical training.
  • 3 years of hands on electronics testing or manufacturing experience.
  • IPCA610, JSTD001, or similar certifications are beneficial.
