CNC Plasma Operator

Salary: $16 - $19

CNC Plasma Operator – 2nd Shift

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 2:30 PM – 1:00 AM

Pay: $18/hour + based on experience

Position Overview:

We are seeking a dependable CNC Plasma Operator to join a reputable manufacturing team. This role is responsible for setting up and operating CNC plasma equipment to produce high-quality metal parts while maintaining accuracy, efficiency, and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate CNC plasma tables and related machinery

• Cut, trim, and shape metal parts using plasma equipment, saws, and other shop tools

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work instructions to determine specifications and setup requirements

• Monitor machine operation and make adjustments to maintain quality and tolerances

• Inspect and measure finished parts to ensure they meet blueprint specifications

• Document critical measurements throughout the production process

• Perform routine quality checks and follow required checklists

• Maintain a clean and safe work environment

Qualifications:

• 2–4 years of experience in a machine shop or similar manufacturing environment preferred

• Experience with CNC plasma tables and press brake equipment required

• Ability to read blueprints and use measuring tools accurately

• Strong basic math and computer skills; comfortable with machine control panels

• Knowledge of CAD/CAM software is a plus

• Ability to work independently and stay self-motivated

• Leadership experience or willingness to take on additional responsibilities is preferred

• High school diploma or GED required

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

• Capable of handling materials with the use of lifting tools and equipment

• Ability to stand, bend, and move throughout the shift
