Warehouse Supervisor/Manager - Ascension Parish

Pay: $50,000-60,000/year

 

Lead, develop, and work alongside people from all walks of life.

Develop solutions for customer & operational challenges that may arise.

You’ll receive guidance but not heavy-handed micro-management from your manager.

You’ll be relied upon and trusted to initiate process improvements that enhance your team’s output and satisfaction.

 

Responsibilities:
Lead and supervise a team of couriers/drivers, warehouse workers, and other support staff.
Responsible for the overall safety, quality, performance and customer experience of the shift.
Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and procedures.
Accountability for meeting and exceeding operational goals.
Strategic planning and forecasting; appraise performance, resolve problems; and address staffing needs.
Mentor, train and develop the team for career progression and learning
Ability to develop and share best practices across the shifts and company-wide.

 

Additional Job Elements:
Must be forklift certified

Must have solid Excel computer skills

Must be able to lift up to 49 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation
Must be willing and able to frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach
Must be able to stand/walk for up to 10 hours
This position requires a candidate with the ability to drive process improvements and the ability to keep pace with our growth while motivating others to meet challenges in a deadline-driven environment.

Preferred Qualifications
Experience with a contingent workforce during peak seasons
Ability to handle changing priorities and use good judgment
3+ years management experience in a manufacturing, production, delivery or distribution environment
Interest in long-term career development
