Machine Operator - Eyelet

Salary: $30-$40/Hour

We are partnering with a local manufacturer of metal parts to help them find an experienced Machine Operator with eyelet machine experience. This role is ideal for someone with strong mechanical skills, great attention to detail, and the ability to keep production running smoothly.

The Machine Operator is responsible for producing high-quality, conforming parts and ensuring machines run efficiently throughout each shift. This role requires strong attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and previous experience operating eyelet machinery in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Read and follow detailed work instructions to ensure accurate production.

• Test parts at regular intervals and prior to combining batches.

• Notify toolmaker or supervisor when parts are out of spec or machinery is not running correctly.

• Maintain accurate sign-off logs and documentation.

• Assign correct, legible lot numbers to all Process Status Labels.

• Perform SPC checks on required parts.

• Keep work area clean and immediately address any oil spills or machine splashes.

• Follow all plant safety guidelines and report any hazards.

• Contribute to team goals by completing additional tasks as needed.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Eyelet machine experience required.

• Ability to use standard machine shop gauges and measurement tools.

• Strong safety mindset with the ability to work around moving machinery.

• Reliable, punctual, and able to multitask in a fast-paced setting.

• Strong organizational skills and excellent attention to detail.

• Good communication skills; proficiency in English required.

• Experience reporting and tracking key production metrics.

• On-the-job training provided for company-specific processes.

Physical Demands & Work Environment:

• Regularly required to stand, walk, reach, and use hands for machine operation.

• Occasional climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.

• Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs frequently.

• Vision requirements include close, distance, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

• Work is performed in a warehouse environment on cement floors.
