We have an opening for a Team Member position for a company that manages non-metal manufacturing waste and recyclables at the Mazda Toyota Manufacturing USA (MTMUS) facility in Madison, AL. This is an evaluation-to-hire opportunity with potential for full-time placement.

 

*** A PROVEN TRACK RECORD OF FORKLIFT EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED ***

 

Candidates will be required to complete all safety certifications mandated by the company's OSHA Training Requirements Matrix during first three months of employment.

 

Skills/Qualifications

Previous forklift experience is REQUIRED.

Must have a command of the English language and use proper grammar.

Must have good verbal and written communication skills.

Must be able to apply basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) in all units of measure.

Must be capable of working an entire work week on a consistent basis.

Must be able to lift 25 lb. unassisted.

High School Diploma or GED.

 

Duties/Responsibilities

Operate a forklift and/or crane for loading/unloading of materials to be disposed of or recycled.

Use equipment such as a barcode scanner as well as visual aids to confirm quantities of freight being received and shipped.

Unpack items received and package items to be shipped.

Inspect packaged materials prior to shipment.

Clean work areas according to 5S standards.

Enter production data into basic spreadsheet systems.

Follow approved procedures and precautions.

Assist in maintaining a clean and safe working environment for all employees.

Responsible for maintaining paperwork of incoming and outgoing products.

Participate in team meetings and training.

Perform other duties as necessary.
