Assistant Plant Operator | Loader Operator

Located in OCALA, FL

Salary: $19.50/hr

Position Overview:
We’re seeking a hands-on and safety-focused Assistant Plant Operator to support daily operations at a mining/industrial plant. This role involves equipment operation, basic mechanical tasks, quality control, and routine inspections to help ensure safe and efficient plant performance.

Schedule:

Monday-Sunday 7:00am-7:00pm, rotating 7:00pm-7:00am. Days off between rotations.

Key Responsibilities:

- Operate heavy equipment, including plant loader and skid steer
- Take accurate silo measurements and maintain detailed production logs
- Conduct material quality control testing
- Assist with minor mechanical maintenance and troubleshooting
- Safely load and dispatch dust trucks from the plant
- Perform regular operational and safety checks across the plant
- Complete lubrication routes and monitor equipment performance

What We’re Looking For:

- Previous experience in mining, construction, or industrial plant operations preferred
- Skilled in operating loaders, skid steers, or similar machinery
- Basic mechanical aptitude and the ability to solve equipment issues
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety procedures
- Physically capable of working in outdoor, demanding environments
- High school diploma or equivalent required
