Trailer Technician

Located in Lancaster, PA

Salary: $20hr

We’re looking to hire a Trailer Technician for a locally owned company. An ideal candidate will have a good work history and have the skills and requirements listed below with a high mechanical aptitude and desire to learn and grow with a company.

 

1^st Shift, M-F, 6 AM to 3:30 PM with OT possible

Primary Responsibilities:

• Service & Repairs to Customers trailers to include:
• FHWA inspections, PA inspections if Qualified
• Preventative maintenance services
• Brake services (air brake equipped trailers)
• Knowledge of ABS brake systems and how to service them
• Installing patches on the bodies using rivets, Welding of steel & aluminum
• light & wiring repairs
• Door repairs (overhead & swing)

 

Equipment Used:

• -Hand tools, power tools, air tools, welders, electrical tools, measuring equipment, and other specialty tools

 

Other Requirements/Qualities:

• Minimum 18 years of age
• Valid PA Driver''s License (non-CDL)
• Moving trailers into/out of the shop that are being repaired using a jockey truck

 

Required Qualities:

• Strong Self motivator and communication skills
• Working alone without direct Supervision
• Good customer service skills

 

Environment:

• Must be comfortable working in a sometimes wet & dirty, outdoor environment
