Mechanical Technician – 1st Shift

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and dependable Trailer Technician to join our team on 1st shift. This position is responsible for performing inspections, preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on a variety of trailers. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical abilities, welding experience, and the ability to work independently in both shop and outdoor environments.

Key Responsibilities

Perform preventative maintenance and safety inspections on trailers.
Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and structural trailer issues.
Complete brake repairs, adjustments, and replacements.
Troubleshoot and repair trailer wiring, lighting, and electrical systems.
Repair and replace trailer doors, hinges, seals, and hardware.
Perform steel and aluminum welding and fabrication as needed.
Repair trailer floors, walls, roofs, and other structural components.
Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, and maintenance performed.
Ensure all work is completed safely and in compliance with company standards.
Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe.

Qualifications

Previous mechanical, trailer repair, diesel, automotive, or heavy equipment experience required.
Welding experience with steel and aluminum preferred.
Knowledge of trailer brake systems, electrical systems, and general repairs.
Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues.
Valid Pennsylvania Driver's License required.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
