We have an opening for an Assembler position working at a contract manufacturing facility located in Decatur, AL. This is an evaluation-to-hire opportunity with potential for full-time placement.
Skills/Qualifications
Must be able to drive a sit-down forklift.
Minimum one-year related factory experience.
Must be able to cut insulation and use chemicals, adhesives, paints and inks.
Must be able to read and interpret drawings, follow routers and use simple math to perform basic calculations.
Must be able to operate hand tools and pneumatic tooling such as screw drivers, utility knives, screw guns and drills to complete mechanical and electrical assemblies and sub-assemblies.
Must be able to perform visual inspection and dimensional inspection of component parts prior to assembly using basic measuring tools.
Must have a working command of the English language and be able to communicate orally and in writing.
Ability to perform essential duties.
High School graduate or equivalent.
Duties/Responsibilities
Perform processes to complete mechanical and electrical assemblies and sub-assemblies, using hand tools and pneumatic tooling to manufacture products to customer drawings and specifications.
Comply with all quality policies, specifications, regulations and instructions.
Update computer records and paperwork in accordance with production requirements.
Maintain work area in clean, orderly condition and follow prescribed safety procedures.
