We are seeking an experienced Electro-Mechanical Machine Builder & Service Technician with a strong background in industrial machinery assembly, mechanical/electrical systems, machine installation, troubleshooting, and equipment repair. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience building machines from the ground up, including complex electrical and mechanical assemblies, and providing field service support at customer locations.
This is a high-impact role in a fast-paced industrial environment, ideal for candidates with advanced machine building, automation, and maintenance expertise.
Perform full machine builds, including sub-assemblies and final assemblies for industrial machinery and automation systems.
Read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, hydraulic/pneumatic diagrams, and 3D models.
Install and wire electrical components: panels, breaker boxes, sensors, motors, PLCs, circuits, and control boards.
Assemble and install mechanical parts: frames, brackets, gears, shafts, chains, fasteners, and system hardware.
Complete hydraulic and pneumatic assembly, including hoses, valves, pumps, cylinders, and solenoids.
Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic system failures.
Perform preventative and reactive maintenance on industrial machinery.
Install, configure, replace, and troubleshoot PLC systems (Allen-Bradley, Siemens) and automation components.
Safely operate material handling equipment such as forklifts and overhead cranes.
Inspect, test, and document machine functionality throughout build and service processes.
Follow all safety protocols, working independently or collaboratively as needed.
10+ years of experience in machine building, equipment installation, and machinery service.
Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
Ability to work with up to 480V 3-Phase, including troubleshooting AC/DC circuits.
Experience installing and maintaining PLCs, automation components, motors, and sensors.
Proficient with hand tools, power tools, electrical testing equipment, and hydraulic/pneumatic tools.
Skilled in reading prints, schematics, and technical documentation.
Ability to diagnose and repair complex industrial machinery with minimal supervision.
Experience operating secondary equipment (press brakes, mills, lathes, sanding machines).
Ability to lift, stoop, crawl, and work at heights as required.
Strong attention to detail, reliability, and ability to work independently or in a team environment.
Willing to travel up to 75%.
Machine building and servicing of complex automated systems.
Familiarity with HMI systems, photoeyes, laser systems, and advanced automation components.
Ability to stand for 12+ hours, lift heavy components, and perform demanding physical tasks.
Fast-paced industrial environment requiring flexibility, precision, safety awareness, and hands-on problem solving.
