Job Title: Box Builder

Shift: 1^st Shift (M-TH 6am – 4:30pm)  

Type: Evaluation to Hire, FT

Pay: $17/hour

 

Job Summary

A De Pere client is looking for a Box Builder who is reliable and motivated to learn. The Box Builder is responsible for fabricating and/or repairing wooden crates or boxes for shipment of anilox rolls. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Advancement opportunities available and encouraged.

 

 

Essential Functions/Key Responsibilities but not limited to:

• Repairs broken crates.
• Operate forklift to unload and stack boxes/crates on racks.
• Keep work area clean and tools serviceable.
• Unloads lumber and stacks it on racks.
• Lays out dimensions on materials with ruler, measuring tape, and pencil. Saw materials to size and assemble.
• Attaches identification labels or stencils containing such information as shipping destination, weight, and type of product contained on crate.
• Observes and follows all safety procedures while using appropriate safety equipment.
• Follow all SOP’s and SPI’s.
• Other duties when necessary, as specified by management.

 

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Read, write, speak and understand English fluently.
• Possess basic mathematic skills which would be used in the determination of box sizes, shapes, etc., through the use of measuring tools such as tape measures and blueprints.
• Read tape measure.
• Use basic carpentry tools, including table saw, band saw, drill, air hammer and square.
• Forklift training
