Express is looking for someone for a Crane Operator for an evaluation hire / temporary / contract position. Work schedule is Monday thru Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm with some Saturdays.

 

Primary Objectives: Heavy Crane Operator works under the direction of the Yard Supervisor. You are expected to follow the instructions to complete various tasks assigned by the Yard Supervisor. Basic duties include loading and unloading scrap metal.

 

Responsibilities:

• Must comply with safety procedures and regulations at all times.
• Safely load/unload scrap on/from trucks or rail cars as assigned.
• Sorts scrap and transfers to correct material stack.
• Keeps heavy equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; calling for repairs.
• Provides housekeeping on yard by keeping a clean work area.
